Whats Going On

Featured Review

Well put quite simply each week I'm going to be using Arckit to make a building. Be that a beach hut, a bungalow, a block of flats, an office block a leisure centre, anything really.

Now for the more detailed explantation, if that simple one still left you puzzled.

First its probably best to explain what Arckit is.

Its a new freeform model making system. The components are modular and based on modern building techniques, meaning you can produce perfectly scaled structures QUICKLY, EASILY and one of my favourite features with NO GLUE.

Another great feature is its size. Everything is based on a 1.2m² or 4ft² grid to a scale of 1:48, making it only fractionally smaller than the 1:50 scale normally used by architects. It's also a scale popular with modellers meaning you can get looks of other things to integrate with it to add that extra bit of realism to your model, things like vehicles, figurines, landscaping, furniture etc.

So you've got your building and you've added figurines and landscaping but you want to dress the building itself, add some finishes and texture. Well Arckit's got you covered there too. Along with the physical components there's the Arckitexture library. From there you can get a range of different detailed finishes, things like wood flooring, tiles, stone walls, roof shingles and cladding.

Essentially whatever your trying to construct Arckit's got you covered. Its just down to what you can imagine.

So what I'm doing is showcasing what you can do with Arckit, how easily and quickly you can produce many different ideas and designs. What makes me the right person to do this? Well nothing and thats exactly what makes me right for the job. You don't need any special skills to use Arckit, just some imagination.

If you want to know more about arckit go check out there site here, and if you like the look of it buy a kit and spread the word!
